Bowling
Green Marsh, 8th January 2005 (by Tony Patston)
The Holman Way car park was full by
0930 as some 25 bird watchers turned up on a fine bright morning.
As we
walked towards the hide there were many birds to been seen in the hedgerows and
trees as well as in the marshes. The bright sunlight that aided identifying
birds in the trees did not help when looking across the marsh. However, once
in the hide (and with the sun a bit higher) many species of bird could be seen.
Further on
at the view point across the Exe more birds were seen (but it was definitely
wooly hat weather as the wind got up). Overall a good morning with some 54
species seen
