A group of
around 20 bird watchers gathered for the first week day meeting of the year.
Although the weather was dry it was certainly brisk for the time of the year.
The highlights included a Water Pipit, a female Wheatear and also a Sparrow
Hawk hunting low over the ground (seen from the new hide). A number of the
group though they had spotted some Grey Partridges but a younger member (with
keener eyesight) confirmed that it was a Red Legged variety. A good morning
out and in all some 43 species seen.
